Afternoon Break

Yesterday was my day off. After a morning of running around, I met up with one of my girlfriends for a late lunch and a chick flick. Her sister ended up coming along too. I forgot how much I miss hanging out with her. We talked about memories, and laughed. It's so funny how life can change. Never did I think I'd move to the city, away from all my friends and family. Yesterday showed me how even though I miss my old life at times, I don't miss it enough to want it back. It's nice to have lunch, talk about the past, laugh at the good times and the bad, but know I'm going back to my new much improved life. Now even when I'm having a bad day, I can find happiness in knowing I'm in a better place, than before. "Catch and Release" was the movie we saw. I loved it. Of course it was a true chick flick. I honestly would feel bad if men had to go see this movie with there girlfriends. It's a girls night out movie. Kevin Smith stole the movie, he had me laughing so hard at times. I walked away thinking if I ever lost my husband, I'd want friends like that to support me through. Sometimes lunch and a movie with friends can mean so much more. I felt awesome on my way home. Thanks girls for a "time out"from reality.
