Back To The Office

Driving in on 290 this morning I noticed the traffic was still light. For a slight moment I was jealous of the ones who got another day off, but then realized how much work was in store for me when I got to the office. Adding another day would just make it worse. Having 5 days off in a row was amazing. I can honestly say I didn't do much, in fact I was very lazy. Stress wise I am in a good place, and have been actively following my advice of not allowing others to put me in a bad mood. I was slightly cranky this morning when I missed my exit and couldn't get my hot cocoa. I had to settle for tea at work. I don't like to settle! Here is a recap of my weekend highlights:

Thursday- Since we celebrated Thanksgiving last Saturday, F and I stayed home, he watched TV, and I went crazy! I hate staying home all day, I need to go out be part of the world. I ended up separating the laundry then realized my piles weren't large enough to do a load, talked to my sister on the phone, made a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, and a pumpkin pie.

Friday- I was meeting a T, then we were heading to J's home town, where we went to the restaurant she's working at, ate amazing pizza, and just talked. I didn't realize how far she really lives from us, so I appreciate all the times she drove up to my place. We really had a great time.

Saturday- F and I picked up his Mom and went crib shopping. She has said several times she wanted to buy our crib. For some reason I have a hard time taking gifts, and allowing people to pay for things. I must of said a million times that cribs are very expensive these days and she didn't need to pay for it. She won of course. It turned out to be a long day. We drove to an outlet store, I was very disappointed in the selection. We then went to BabiesrUS, I had seen one I liked about a month ago. I didn't know that every BabiesrUS has a different selection. So we had to drive back into the city to that location. We stopped for dinner at this seafood place where they prepare it Mexican style. After we were seated I laughed, I was the only white person! All the guys had cowboy hats, and matching boots. It was great! We finally decided on a crib, it wasn't what I planned on, I had wanted to get a black one, yet couldn't find a style I liked. The crib is very dark cherry it looks black, and I love it!

Sunday- I made a big breakfast, paid bills, spent time online, then we went to a few stores, and drove by some properties F found online. The fun filled day ended with 3 loads of laundry!

I should get back to the piles on my desk.
