Since we are a "blended" family, this year I thought it would be nice if we celebrated Thanksgiving early this way Y doesn't need to go to two different dinners on the same day. So we had F's family, and a set of friends over for dinner.
Friday I started not feeling well at about 2:30, my back felt as if someone was squeezing me, I was very light headed, and had a few pains in my lower stomach. I ended up going to bed at 8:00. Saturday I woke up at 8:00. Relieved I was feeling much better. Sleep sometimes is the answer. I needed to make a pumpkin cheesecake for later that night. This was the first time I was attempting this recipe, and it turned out perfect! It was very yummy and everyone agreed. The evening turned out great, everyone seemed to have a nice time, and it felt good to have the house filled with love. Holiday's are not a huge deal to F and his family. I know several people who's families go all out at holidays, and I think it's great. Is it for me...no, I'm very content at what we have even if it's small.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Merry Christmas 2012!
