Book Club

I've joined a book club. For years I've thought to myself since I love to read, I should be part of a book club. I haven't really had the time, nor have found a group I wanted to join. T and I have discussed book clubs off and on for a year, she's met some really nice young woman lately, who were also interested in the idea. I'm so happy this is working out. Our first book is "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. Saturday I had some free time, so I went to Target and bought the book. I of course could of went to any book store, but I haven't allowed myself to go into Target for a long time, and I miss it! (I get myself into $$ trouble) What can I say, I love Target. Yes it's more expensive than Wal Mart (the freaking devil store) but at least you can actually enjoy your shopping experience. I walk out of Wal Mart in a bad mood. Looking through the book selection at Target I found myself with three books in my hand. I like to buy books, but then never have the time to read them! I purchased just the one book I needed, telling myself I'll come back for the others once I'm finished. T we really need to book swap. I know your collection of books is huge. At least our addiction is healthy!
So I love to read as stated before, finding the time is another story. I thought back to how many books I read last year.....2!! I couldn't believe it. I've decided I need to make it a priority to set aside time to read. How could I let go of something I so enjoy? Sunday I woke up and sat outside on our balcony with a cup of coffee and my new book. Awesome way to start the day. I'm looking forward to having many more "Sunday's" like that.
