St. Patrick's Day

I've only come to love this holiday since moving to Chicago. The down town is decorated, water dyed green. Perhaps I only love this holiday because it's associated with green! It is after all my favorite color.

Last night my friend B and I went to HOB (House of Blues) for our favorite Irish Band, Gaelic Storm. Ended up being sold out. Why am I surprised? Well I remember them coming to the local college, and B introducing me to them. Now we pay $40 a pop to see them with 1,000 other people! Anyways, the were once again awesome. They remain a very humble band, grateful for all the fans they have. For some reason last night seemed extra special, suppose it was because they are Irish, and it was St. Patrick's Day. B and I didn't have the best spot to enjoy the show. In front of us was these two guys, one just completely grossed me out. His hair was by far disgusting. I'm not sure when the last time he washed it, stuff was actually in it, and he kept touching it! I must of had this disgusted look on my face, another guy in a group next to us, started laughing, leaned over and said "if only you could see the look on your face" I started laughing too. As the concert began this guy and girl, pushed past us, and stood right in front of B. They sure weren't a small couple. I couldn't believe how rude this guy was pushing past us, then stopping directly in front of us. As the night continued it was obvious they were drunk. He kept pushing back onto us. Half way through they left to go get more beer. YEAH!!! The guy with the nasty hair leans over to B and says "it's about time bacon and sausage left" with that we cracked up laughing. It put the evening right back on track.
Thanks B for last night. I ended up having a great time. Green eye shadow and all!
