Dreams Can Come True

2 1/2 years ago, F and I were talking about our future. Where we wanted to be financially, and what could we do to get there. We decided real estate was the best choice for us. 6 months later we moved from the North side, to the West side where his condo is located. He had been renting it out for 6 years to a tenant. The West side really began to boom with building activity. Now was the perfect time to update the condo, and sell. So we started the process. Kitchen was completely gutted, floors through out the condo was replaced, walls painted, a built-in customized for the dinning room. 2 years later, all that is left is the bathrooms. We've come so far, yet have so much farther to go! Hard part for me is living through construction, the bathrooms will be the worst.

My overall goal was to always go bigger than just our condo. I wanted to start a company where we bought, fixed, and sold properties. F is great when it comes to building, repairing. Most of the times I'm shocked on the visions he has, awesome ideas. Knowing I had a great partner who could do the bulk of the work, I knew my dream was possible. Yesterday it happened. We closed on our first property! I'm so excited to get started. My gut has been telling me this is our ticket to a secure future. Granted we both work full time, and this will be huge sacrifice for ourselves, our family, and our marriage. Going into this both knowing what we will have to put in to make this work, makes me feel so much more confident, we can do this. I tend to always have "bigger" dreams, for once one came true.
